A Russ Gandy came north to Nokomis, Sask. with my g grandfather (Frank Reynolds) in 1904-05 from Humboldt, Neb.. The info can be found at http://www.geocities.com/nokomis_website/. At the bottom of the homepage is a "History of Nokomis" written by Edith Humphrey. At the bottom of page 3 and top of page 4 is the story of their move to Sask. It sounds like Russ would be a brother to your James.
