I am searching for Sgt. Charles William Ford BEF Regt. # 970677 born in Ireland Nov. 3, 1899. He came to Canada between 1920 - 1922. He married Flora Barr Benson (deceased) in St. Catharines Ontario on Nov. 20, 1925 and they lived at 12 Chestnut St. They were married by the Reverend A.B. Reekie [Baptist] who lived at R.R. 3 St. Catharines. Their attendants were Robert and Isobel M. Davies who lived at 11 St. George St. in St. Catharines. They moved to Toronto, Ontario and lived at 34 Saulter St. We then moved to Oshawa, Ontario and lived at 42 Jackson St. They had 3 sons Charles William Ford born in 1927, John Marshall Benson Ford born in 1929 and Ernest George Ford born in 1931. His occupation was Truck driver but was also trained as a bookkeeper - accountant and he worked for Smith Transport Ltd. in Oshawa, Ontario and in Moosejaw Saskatchewan. “His last known address in 1947 was 105 Lilloet St. West Apt. # 16 in Moosejaw Saskatchewan Canada.” He had a sister Ada Ford who lived at 93 Compton Road, Brighton, England in 1915 and he has been known to give this as his address. His Fathers name was Charles William Ford and his Mothers name was Caroline [ Ainger ] Ford. His parents were born in Ireland. Any information concerning my Father would be greatly appreciated.
