Hi Ellen, Do you have the info on the family before they came to Canada? I see from census in England that Lindsey was actually born in Toronto, ON, Canada, about 1867, a brother Nelson was born in Michigan, USA about 1869 a brother Arthur born England about 1878 and brother Wesley born England about 1879 (both in Ipswich) In 1870 the Calver family is in Eagle, Clinton, MI - let me now if you want the info I also found a marriage for LIndsey and Clara - her maiden name was Harvey I have not found a death for them. I just found a marriage for a Lottie Calver, age 21 and John George Mann, age 20 married in Hamilton, Wentworth, ON August 15, 1913 Witnesses were George Barton and Clara Calver Lottie's parents shown as George Calver and Clara Harvey so other than the father's first name this seems to be another child Ontario, Canada, Marriages, 1801-1928 about Lottie Calver Name: Lottie Calver Birth Place: Ipswich Eng Age: 21 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1892 Father Name: George Calver Mother Name: Clara Harvey Spouse Name: John George Mann Spouse's Age: 20 Spouse Birth Year: abt 1893 Spouse Birth Place: Newcastle. England Spouse Father Name: John George Mann Spouse Mother Name: Kate Foy Mann Marriage Date: 6 Sep 1913 Marriage County or District: Wentworth I notice in the 1912 passenger list going to Quebec listed are Clara, William, Gladys, Arthur and Maggie Lindsey and son Henry George are shown separately coming in through Portland, Maine in same year Lottie is listed in 1901 census with her parents and siblings in Ipswich and in 1911 she is in Ipswich, but working as a domestic, not with her family so she must have arrived in Canada between 1911 England census and her marriage in 1913 Found her listed as Lettie Çalver She arrived in Quebec in June of 1912 - shown as going to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan. I suppose when her family arrived and stayed in ON she went there also. Not sure why her father's name would be shown as George in her marriage, but possibly the registrar just wrote it down wrong ?
