Are you sure it is Joseph "T" Nobert?
Is Eliza Mary Russell your grandmother?
If so, Joseph Nobert has 24 years old at that time. It makes him born in 1868 not in 1862. There are lots of possibilities for Joseph Nobert born in 1868 or maybe in 1867.
Are you aware of other Noberts in Illinois? That could help finding brothers or parents who immigrated to Illinois?
The Noberts we are talking about all come from Champlain. They also are called Bigue-Nobert (pronounce Bigay)
