Hi, Pam.
I just noticed today that some of the Myers married some of my not-too-distant cousins. If, for example, George Meyers and Charlotte Jenkins are amongst your ancestors, then we are related. I do not know much about them, but have some experience in Genealogy.
The first thing is do not post information about living people which can be used. For example, if you give your birth-date, someone can get your birth certificate, and eventually you are the victim of identity theft. Confidentiality is paramount.
Write down what you know. There are several ways of arranging information. It depends on what you want to do. Are you only interested only in your direct ancestors? Do you wish to study a particular family? In the first case, and ahnentafel (ancestor table) is the best method in which you only list your own ancestors. In the second case, you start with a particular ancestor, generally the first to come to Canada, and list as many descendants as you can. There are different systems for this, and I have designed my own.
Generally if you can cite an ancestor who was living in Canada in 1911; especially in NB, and to some degree in PEI, I can get you a bit of information; but ultimately you will have to visit cemeteries, libraries, archives, etc., and order copies of certificates. (I would recommend that, where-ever possible, you get relevant documents or photocopies relating to direct ancestors.)
If you have a particular question, let me know.

Thomas
