I have traced most of the MacNeill's to PEI arriving on the ship the 'Spencer' from the Isle of Colonsay, my MacMillan's arrived on the ship the 'Nubia' in Quebec and together settled in Bruce County. At some point Donald & Florence moved to Chippewa County Michigan.
Florence Catherine MacNeil is d/o John H. McNeill b: abt 1833 Scotland & Catherine Currie b: abt 1837 Canada
Donald Dan MacMillan is s/o Angus MacMillan b: 1829 & Isabella MacMillan b: 1830 both on the Isle of Colonsay, Scotland
Donald & Florence had 4 children Malcolm, Roy, John & Angus.
I am a direct decendant of Malcolm Bell MacMillan who was born in Michigan U.S.A. He died February 5, 1948 and is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto Ontario. I still have many questions about my grandparents and their ancestors.
I have a considerable amount of factual information on these lines if anyone would like to share.
I am also interested in the history of why Canadians were living & working in the U.S.
