I checked for your info - there is only one Mary Alice Hooper, her father is Alex, her mother not named, but the time frame is right, and the church is North Bedeque. Alex Hooper apparently had Mary Alice and 4 siblings all baptised on 20 Sept 1857: there is also Elisa Ann, John Nelson, Margaret, and Robert Patterson and then there was Helen Patterson baptised Oct. 1860 (This might suggest that the Mother's maiden name was Patterson?)
