Saint John Isle ..Isle St Jean ..is the old French name for Prince Edward island before the 1755 Arcadian deportations & the 1763 treaty forfiture of French Canada.

Many old timers continually referenced it as St John Islae .. my great grandfather from PEI, a McCormack, had it refernced both ways.

Once thought it was a typo (as if an apostrophe mis-typed for St John's .. but no!)
