Hi,
I am a bit confused now. Alexander J. Campbell born in Isle of Skye Scotland is Norman's brother and was married to Jan Urquhart 17 Jan 1900 I believe in Dunvegan had no children. THere are other Jane Urquharts that I have found but not the same as she that married Alexander. I do have proof from his family line that also connects to mine.
This is an excert from a newspaper article:
Alexander J. Campbell was born on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, July 1839, son of John Campbell and his wife , Christena Nicholson. He quit school when he was very young to work on his father's fishing boat. With his parents and three sisters, he came to Canada when 19 years of age. They settled in Argenteuil County, Quebec, Canada, coming to this district (Maxville) about 40 years ago, to live on a farm near Baltic's Corners, moving to Maxville in 1920.Mr Campbell is a Presbyterian in religion and in politics a Conservative.
1901 Census Maxville Ontario, Canada
Campbell Alexander MHead M Jul 15 1843
Campbell Jane FWife M Jun 19 1851 49(was his second wife)
Campbell Alexander MSon S 29

1911 Census shows him with his wife Jane and his son Alexander from his first marriage. Census in Dunvegan, Kenyon, Canada, pg 3 family number 30. Has his birthday totally wrong.
