Caldbeck Family - 1880s
My husband's grandfather has been lost to his family for about 100 yrs. I know that his name was James Henry Caldbeck or James Harry Caldbeck and he was from Canada. By following a number of clues, I believe his grandfather was James Henry Caldbeck, age. 21, listed in the York West, Ontario census of 1881.His father is listed as James Caldbeck, age 62, born in Ireland and his mother is listed as Sarah Caldbeck age 54, born in Ireland.Father was a carpenter. Other family members listed were Mary Elizabeth, Henrietta, and Thomas. There was also a Reuben Gray and a Clara Jane Gray living in the household.
By following up on the few clues my husband's family has of his grandfather, I have found that James Henry Caldbeck died in 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
If anyone knows anything about this Caldbeck family of Ontario, I would be so very appreciative of any information you would be willing to share.I will be forever grateful if we can learn anything about his family or if someone has any advice for me on how to find out about this family.
Thank you in advance.
