DOUGHERTY-Biddulph, Lucan, Ont

Looking for information Patrick & Julia (Gleason) DOUGHERTY from Tipperary. Immigrated to Canada, via Quebec ~1840. Brought at least two sons, Michael b. 1832 & John b 1837. Michael married in Montreal? in 1855 to Winnifred CAIN and John married in Lucan, Ont in 1868 to Ellen BENNETT. The family/s migrated to Ontario. I believe Patrick & Ellen passed away in Biddulph before the Michael migrated to Dubuque, IA in 1870 and John to Jackson, NE in 1880. Does anyone recognise these people? I have information to share.

Also, I would like direction as to where to look for Canadian census records for the Biddulph, Lucan, Ontario area as well as for Quebec in the 1840's.
