I am looking for information regarding Hugh McDonald, son of Allen McDonald. On Hugh's death certificate it states that he was born at Glenco, Ontario and died at Norway House, Manitoba on 13 April 1925 and his age is approximately 63 years. This would make his birth year approximately 1862. His racial origin is listed as "Scotch Canadian". His occupation is listed as Lighthouse keeper.
Hugh McDonald had married (Ann)Harriet Sinclair at Fairford, Manitoba and his marriage record states that he was previously at Little Saskatchewan. I am assuming this is in Manitoba, Canada as Fairford and Little Saskatchewan are located nearby each other. {Ann) Harriet, known as Harriet, was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Sinclair.
Hugh and Harriet had one daughter, Catherine Elizabeth McDonald. Catherine Elizabeth McDonald married James Robert Robertson and had three children, Ila, Harriet (known as Hattie) and Horace. Catherine disappeared after her children were born. A mystery yet unsolved.
I am very interested in making contact with anyone who may have knowledge of this man or may be one of his descendants.
