RE the death cert for Ellen Pettipas

looks to me like its ELLEN RELLY or REILLY

birth is July age is 84 yrs 8 months making her born 1840

says her father born Prospect

*****

did see George Longard and Amelia/Emilia Murphy mentioned several time, He a trader ( in 1864) from Prospect but as these births are in the 1860'2 its probably a son of your George

married in 1864 but a fisherman in 1869 and a sailmaker in 1871 all with same wife

Ok found George 51 (1820) with Amelia 26 in the 1871 census with children too old to be hers and a 2 and 6 yr old and Martin Murphy who is probably her brother

older kids are Jane 18 , Edmond 17 and Martha 15 but couldn't find any info or them

1881 he is a widow
1891 married to Catherine age 58 in Halifax City with son George age 20

sorry , no help

******

did find George Jeremiah Longard 1819-1897
wife Amelia Murphy
father of George H Longard 1871- 1929

on line tree as Edmond as son of George Longard and Mary Ann Riley . Edmond died 1876 in Halifax his death record exist apparently
Martha died 1874 in Halifax
