This is my great grandmother. The most recent information I have learned is that she had two sisters, also born in Canada, who are later found living in California: Eliza C White, 1848 1932 and Frances Davis White, 1850 1941. It was very hard to locate information on Frances especially, because she was adopted, whether formally or not, and was going by the name of Frances D. Plummer. I think their mother's name may have been Susan Webster. In all my searching on Ancestry and elsewhere, I have yet to come up with their father's name, or where he was when they came to California. Dead? Deserted? Imprisoned? Were they running from him? So many questions.
