The gravestone in Fernwood Cemetery, has the birth year of 1916 for Oscar B. Allen. I believe this is Oscar Bliss Allen, born Oct 25, 1916, died 1969, son of Charles Tupper Allen; wife Anna MacDonald, born 1911, died 2005. Birth certificate for Oscar Bliss Allen can be located on the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick website, vital statistics. Oscar Black Allen birth certificate is also there, and he was born in Port Elgin on 5 July 1910, to Clarence Tuttle Allen and Elizabeth Bolliver Davis. In April 1949, Oscar was living in Amherst, Nova Scotia, when his father died; and in August 1969, when his brother died, Oscar Black Allen was living in Oshawa, Ontario.

Anna MacDonald first husband, Garnet William Leeworthy, died Nov 4, 1954,(death certificate on NB website, spelled Leworthy). Therefore Anna married Oscar B. Allen after 1954, so he could of had a first wife.

Anna Stiles CAPE TORMENTINE, NB - The death of Anna Stiles, age 94, occurred Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the home of her daughter, Jean Lewis and Donald Allen in Cape Tormentine, NB. Due to failing health Anna had been living with Jean and Don and under their loving care for the past number of years. Anna was born in Glasgow, Scotland to the parents of Donald and Jessie (Fraser) MacDonald. She and her family immigrated to Canada in 1927, and settled in the Bayfield/ Malden area where she resided until her death. She will be sadly missed by her son, Boyd Leaworthy (Elizabeth), Dieppe; and her daughter, Jean Lewis (Donald Allen), Cape Tormentine, and by nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother, Charles of North Carolina. She was predeceased by three husbands; Garnet Leeworthy, Oscar Allen and Earnest Stiles; also by an infant son, Wayne Leeworthy; her eldest son, Carl Leeworthy; Carl's wife Joan (Allen); by 11 brothers and sisters. Anna was a member of Bayfield Wesley United Church where, as a gifted singer, sang in the choir for more than fifty years. She was also a member of the UCW, and was the recipient of its lifetime membership award. Throughout her years she belonged to a number of organizations, the most recent being the East Botsford Senior Citizen's Club. Besides her family, Anna cherished her small home in Malden and took great pride in its appearance, and was especially pleased when friends and neighbours dropped in or drove by to see her Christmas lights and decorations. Anna's family extend their gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Popma and the staff of the Sackville Hospital for the excellent care they provided her over the past number of years. A memorial service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300) at 1:30 pm on Monday, November 21, 2005. Burial will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin. Donations to memorials of the donor's choice would be appreciated. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
