Hi Marilyn,
FOUND IT---------my research is so difficult as I am working w/32 various spellings of the surname.
This is from a record for 1900 Seaboard, Princess Anne, VA.
ROSE WHEEDEN
CLAYTON L WHEEDEN
HORATIO D "
ROSA V "
PEMMY J ETHERIDGE
RICHARE "
MARY E "
GEORGE W "
ALLEN T "
It would appear that the PEMMY was the daughter of ROSE and
CLAYTON and later married a SPARROW.
BELIEVE the WHEEDENS to be connected to my WEEDEN,WHILDEN,
WEELDON/BROWN tri-racial line of SC,NC,VA,RI,TN,KY,CT,NY,
NS,CANADA,MN.
Have just come across the NEBOW surname in connection? which may connect to the OJIBWE INDIANS of MN.
Warm regards,
carol.
