I have a letter dated 1895 written by an ancestor of mine. This person operated a sailing vessel in the Bay Of Fundy out of Harbourville NS. The letter states he has loaded coal in Parrsboro NS and is heading for Boothbay Maine.Cumberland county has lots of coal (Springhill mines) and this could be shipped to the nearest port (Parrsboro) for loading. This is my guess.
