This is not a name that I am researching but I am familiar with online research in Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia Vital Statistics to about 1910 (later for death certificates) are at www.novascotiagenealogy.ca They are free and easily searchable. You will have to download a free Viewer Program to see the record and there is a fee if you want to get a hardcopy of the record. A quick search turned up the birth record of George O’Donnell son of Thomas and Jane in Cape Breton, NS and the marriage record of he and Elizabeth Grey (widow) in Halifax. Also the death record of George Shaw ODonnell (note spelling difference when doing a record search) in Halifax in 1948. The 1881 Canadian Census is available at : http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp The family of Thomas and Jane were living in Main-A-Dieu, Cape Breton with several children. The 1901 and 1911 Canadian Census are at www.automatedgenealogy.com You should be able to find the families of George and Elizabeth and probably those of George’s siblings there. Let me know if you have trouble accessing any of the above sites. They are all free and easily searchable. Happy Hunting Burdette Uhlman Notify Administrator about this message?
