On my wife's paternal side of the family, her grand-father married Flora Strickland, whose father was Thomas Strickland. Thomas came to Neil's Harbour in Cape Breton, from Isle-aux-Morts, Nfld. (at the time) in 1899 approx. Thomas was married to Clara Pheobe Osborne, b. Margaree, Nfld.
Thomas' older sister, Harriet, married Wm. Harvey in Aug. 1880 at Little Bay, Nfld. Her parents were Thomas Strickland & Ellen "Helen" Falkins of Isle-aux-Morts. They also came to Neil's Harbour and passed away there. I have not been to Isle-aux-Morts to further that connection, however, I have the names of some of the siblings, Harriet, Joshua, Kezia, John, Thomas Jr., Llewelyn, Silas, Wilson, and possibly I'm missing some. I'm also interested to go beyond Thomas Strickland Sr. I should point out that Ellen Falkins might be "Fulcan". Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
