Dohey Help Required

I am researching the Dohey Family Tree. It appears to have been a large family all based in Placentia with most of the menfolk involved in the fishing industry.
I have managed to find Bernard Dohey on the 1921 Census for St Brides; he was born in 1882. His widowed mother was living with him; she was called Ann and she was born in 1857.
How, and where, can I find out more? What was Ann's maiden name? Who was her husband? When did the Doheys arrive in Newfoundland?
Any help or advice will be gratefully recieved.
