according to the death certificate here in the US Patrick Brophy born 1879 parents were Michael and Mary O'Connor
O'Connor might have been her name from a previous marriage.
She was right from Ireland according to the death certificate.
You will not find a marriage license for Patrick in Newfoundland, he was married in the US to a Elizabeth Mitchell. We have that certificate also.
We were hoping to find something on Michael and to see if there were other siblings. We think or accoring to the draft registration here in the US that Patrick entered this country around 1893. Thank you for responding. I don't think I am going to find anything unless I travel to Newfoundland and speak with other Brophy's to see if they may be related.
