This is a bit off from your information, but might be useful.

I found a Patrick Brophy, born 1879 in Holyrood to parents Thomas Brophy and Susan Brown.

There is a Michael and Mary Brophy of Holyrood having children, one of whom is Patrick. However, this is much later. Their son, Patrick Aloysius Brophy, is born 11 Mar 1908.

Wondering if the older Patrick is related to the younger Patrick, I looked to other records. From what was readily available:
* I couldn't find any marriage record for Patrick Brophy (b. 1879).
* There was a marriage for a Michael Brophy to Ann Wall. Timewise, this Michael is a contemporary of Thomas Brophy.
* However, Thomas and Susan(nah), have other children, including Michael (b. 1873). *This* Michael marries Mary Kiely on 3 June 1906.

Does this make any sense to you?
