I'm searching for information on my Great Grandfather MORRIS McDONALD who was born January 1893 in Gambo Newfoundland. I don't know who his parents are or any of his siblings..
Morris McDonald married a woman named Bridget..who was said to be of French descent.
On the 1921 Census for Bishop Falls Newfoundland..this family shows up..at that time they had 3 children..My Grandmother Mary McDonald being one of the children listed..she was born in Aug of 1916 in Bishop Falls..I have not been able to locate this family on the Census of 1935..so I am unsure where they went after leaving Bishop Falls Nfld.
Mary McDonald married John Francis..and for a number of years the family lived in Buchans Nfld..where my father was born on Dec 26 1940..his name is Frederick Cyril Francis. Mary and John may also have lived in Norris Arm and Botwood before leaving Newfoundland for Kitchener Ontario in the late 1950's..
Mary had a brother Frederick M McDonald (Son of MORRIS McDONALD) who lived in Norris Arm..Frederick was born in 1918 and died in 1986 and is buried in Norris Arm..his wife's name was Margaret.
Any information on the McDONALD family of Morris & Bridget..would be greatly appreciated..
