In looking for my GGM,Mary Ellen Miller, probably born at Port Royal,PB, I have come across an Argentia RC record for an ELIN MILLER, born 1836 to Thomas Miller and BRIDGET WISE. Siblings included William Miller,1839,and Bridget Miller,1854,maybe others also. Spelling was very mixed in 1836.Later standard was WYSE and Elin became Ellen.
Very many of the Wyses later moved to USA,from later 1800s through to 1950s.I have some of those names, and would like to also hear from their descendants to enlarge the family tree,as I also have other later Wyse-Greene marriages(Point Verde Greenes, previously from Boston in 1700s).
Specifically,I know my GGM,Mary Ellen Miller, was about 50% native American(Mi'Kmaq),and would especially like any Wyse or Miller information on any such background in their branch. Thanks.Ward.
