Posted by: Jean Mayo (ID *****2895) Date: September 13, 2006 at 07:22:35
  of 1169

Thomas Damerall was born ca. 1812-15 in Stoke Fleming, Devon, England, son of Thomas Damerall and Elizabeth ( Betty ) ( maiden name unknown ). He had a brother, Henry Damerall, who was baptized June 23, 1801 in Stoke Fleming. He married Susanna Willis on Aug. 18, 1833 in Stoke Fleming. Henry Damerall moved his family to Ontario, Canada; whereas, Thomas Damerall moved his family to St. John's Newfoundland, Canada. He married Mary Anne Heddon, who was born ca. 1815-17 in Dittisham, Devon, England.

On July 19, 1833 in the St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in St. Johns, Newfoundland: Thomas Damerall, born Stoke Fleming, Devon, England, married Mary Anne Heddon, born Dittisham, Devon, England. Witnesses were: William Earle and John Sorney. They had children: Louisa Jane, William Henry, Thomas, James Willis, John, Richard Heddon, Edwin Heddon, and Ann Sanders. This family moved to Chelsea, MA.by 1880 if not earlier.

I am searching for the family origins of both Thomas Damerall and Mary Anne Heddon. Can anyone help?
