My William emigrated in 1866, and as far as I know he was alone. I don't have any documents to say otherwise. As for looking in newfoundland, well I'm stuck and I'm trying to find anything anywhere which may lead me to him. His marraige records here were destroyed, his immigration records don't seem to exist and his death certificate simply says born Nova Scotia 1843. No mention of parents or siblings in anything I've been able to find. What I posted is all I have
