Thomas Gibbons was born about 1806. He married Mary Barns. He moved from Canada to New York City before 1838. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery on March 26, 1867. Mary was buried there on April 19, 1886. Buried in the same plot in 1856 age 75 was Susannah Gibbons. Was she Thomas Gibbons mother? Where was Thomas born? The federal census says Thomas was born in Newfoundland and also Nova Scotia. Any information on Thomas, Mary or Susannah would be greatly appreciated.
