MICHAEL GREEN(E),Placentia,Newfoundland,1803.

I have already posted re any ancestor JOHN GREEN and his brother ROBERT GREEN, Boston to Placentia, Newfoundland, about 1778/9.They bought land in nearby Point Verde in 1803 and started the current township there.
I now find the old French deed to this land was signed over to Mr. M. GREEN in 1803, for the very same land later,in 1929,willed onward to John's children.
Who was Mr. M. GREEN ? We are guessing it is MICHAEL M. GREENE,which some family tradition says was the name of their father. However,to date, this is the first and only record I can find that he ever existed, and we have always assumed he never left England.
Does anyone have any information on him,? Thanks,Ward.
