Hi Louise,

As for the surname, I have also seen it spelled both ways. The correct Quebecois version howeer is BOURDEAU; the BORDEAUX is the French city in France on the Atlantic. I'll keep looking for clues for you nonetheless and get back when I find anything of significance. Happy Holidays, Dennis
