Sextons - Newfoundland/Connecticut
Posted by: Kimberley Richardson (ID *****2169) Date: June 10, 2004 at 11:15:21

I'm looking for any information on any of the SEXTONS from Newfoundland Canada/Connecticut areas. (st. John's, Newfoundland Canada and possibly Bonavista, Newfoundland Canada)

William Sexton (His middle name is possibly Hedley) was my great great grandfather and died approximately 1913 in Canada. He married Alma Walton.

They had a son named Hedley Walton Sexton I born Aug 19, 1889 who married Marie "Maude" Whitten. Moved from Newfoundland to Connecticut.

These are their children: (all believed to have lived in Bridgeport Connecticut)
1. Hedley Walton Sexton II born Sept 3, 1917
2. William Sexton born Dec 5 1915
3.4. twins (Phillis Ruth Sexton and Muriel Ann Sexton b. march 4, 1923)
5. Madelyn Marie Sexton b. jun 24, 1913

Hedley Walton Sexton II married Margaret Cordell and their children are: Hedley Walton Sexton III "Teddy" who lives in Oregon, Gary Sexton - Asheville, NC, Ruth Ann Sexton - Arden, NC, and Chuck Sexton - Asheville, NC

Records seem to have been destroyed and this is all I have. Margaret Cordell and Hedley Walton Sexton divorced and Margaret and children reside in Asheville, NC. Hedley died in Bridgeport Connecticut in 1989.

Any information on any of these people would be greatly appreciated!!!
