Hiya the family name was Beeso sometimes spelt besso. My grandfather came to england in 1915 when he joined the expeditionary force and his address then was winnipeg manitoba, but his army papers state he was born in whitbourne NF. His parents and brother moved to california around 1919. So the 1921 census wont show them unfortunately, thanks so much for your help, its difficult trying to research from the uk as my geographical knowledge of canada is poor but I used one of your links to make up a map of newfoundland and some of the cities close to whitbourne. thanks again!
