First Churchills

I'm descended from the first Churchill to settle New England, Josiah Churchill, as reported from marriage to Elizabeth Foote, Wethersfield, Ct.1638. John Churchill (no connection established to date) married Hannah Pontus in Plymouth in 1643 and is said to be 2nd Churchill line to arrive NEw England.
Curious if anyone has data on first known Churchills to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia or other Atlantic provinces. When they arrived, where they arrived and from what part of Britain did they come from? Or, if they descended from one of the New England lines, or, are otherwise related? Thanks for any help, regards, dwc.
