Daniel W. McCarthy, b. c. 1820s-----My great grandfather's name was Daniel W. McCarthy, born c. 1825 + or -, and he likely came from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia where he married Mary Alice Wright, probably about the 1840s, and they ended up in Boston in the 1850s raising at least three children: "Nellie", Henry, and Charles Leonard McCarthy, the last my grandfather. I am hoping someone knows something connecting to this McCarthy; I would also be interested in what county in Ireland a McCarthy who came to Newfoundland is most likely to be from. Thanks.
