Hey, our great grandmother's are sisters! I have been trying to piece together information on my Joe family for a couple years now. I know that John Dennis "Denny" Joe b abt 1830 d 1896 Hall's Bay and Ellen McLean b abt 1830 are the parents of Margaret "Maggie", Anne (my great grandmother), and several more children. Some of my family members have known these names from family history but I also got these names from Anne Joe (Barker) birth certificate.

John Dennis (Denny) Joe's father was Abraham Joe born in Nova Scotia around 1800. I am unsure of his mother's name but was given the name Catherine by another researcher.

I don't know if you have the marriage date for Margaret "Maggie" Joe and Thomas Saunders but it is 14 Feb 1910 Little Bay, NL (RC) Witnesses John Barker (most likely my great grandfather who married Anne Joe) and Margaret Burke.

If you want to please contact me directly. I have some bits and pieces of information that you might be interested in.
My grandmother Mary Grace Barker Drover use to always say a special prayer for Aunt Maggie Saunders. Two of Maggie's sons married women from this area also.

Alice
