Hi Myrna,

Well, there is a marriage for a William Driscoll, bachelor, labourer, age 22
born Hanwell, York Co.
parents could be Denis Driscoll and Latist Dunlop or could be David Driscoll and Latest Dunlop
Marguerite Page, age 16, parents Joseph Page and Neuso....

the edge of the papers is torn in the image so cannot read her mother's name

they married in Madawaska, NB

the crazy thing is the database says 1907-1919 but then does not show an actual date so I went to the previous page and at the top it shows 1908-1909-1910

So I looked for a birth for Marguerite Rose and there is a baptism for Sept. 8, 1894 daughter of Joseph Page and Nancy Gagnon
and below the entry it says married to William Driscoll Nov. 18, 1911

if she was born 1894 and married 1911 she would be about 16. so seems to fit.

If William was 22 in 1911 that makes his birth about 1889 which does not fit with the William who is in census with Dennis and Lydia.

Wm. and Marguerite married in Madawaska and the 1911 census has a Wm. of right age living there

1911 GRAND FALLS, VICTORIA AND MADAWASKA, NB
ADDRESS - FRONT STREET

DRISCOLL
William, age 23, boarder, engineer, born April 1888 NB

Margaret, age 16, boarder, born Sept. 1895 NB

So here they are and he is age 23 so agrees closely with the marriage record

they are in the household of Robert and Mary Caldwell - as boarders

** in marriage he was a labourer and now he is an engineer - hmmm

too bad it only says he was born April 1888 but not where in NB although his marriage record said Hanwell - I googled it and it is southwest of Fredericton and a suburb as it is so close so that puts it in York Co.

Now, the image of the marriage was hard to read and the father could be Dennis or David and the mother while it certainly looks like Latist it may just be that whoever wrote it down couldn't spell well and maybe it should be Lydia?

Anywho it showed her surname as Dunlop so I looked for any Dunlop woman marrying a Driscoll and and found James Driscoll married Lydia Anne Dunlop Parish of St. Dunstan, Fredericton, York, NB

It says On the tenth day of November 1876 I blessed the marriage of Lydia Anne Dunlop and James Driscoll .

The writing is very clear and it is clearly James but whether this is the right couple of not ?? It is not the Denis and Lydia Driscoll in Kingsclear as they would have been married long before 1876 as their daughter Mary was born about 1866

There is a death of a Lydia Ann Driscoll in 1910 , living in Hanwell, she is 65 years old. It says she was born Naskawicke but does not list a husband's name

Another odd bit of info - while the marriage shows a James Driscoll marrying a Lydia Anne Dunlop in 1876 and Dennis and Lydia Ann had to be married long before that as they had children long before that I just noticed that in1871 census with Dennis and Lydia Ann there is an Avelette Dunlap living with them - she is age 14.

1871 SOUTHAMPTON, YORK, NB
DRISCOLL
Dennis, age 37, labourer

Lydia Ann, age 26

Celia, age 7

Mary age 5

James O. age 3

Hariet M. age 1

DUNLOP/DUNLAP
Aveletta, age 14

all born NB
there are no relationships shown

In 1861 Lydia Ann Dunlap is in Southampton NB wit her parents and with a sister Avelotta age 4 so if she married Dennis it had to be between 1861 and birth of Celia in 1854.

I am beginning to think that maybe Dennis and James ARE the same person and for some reason he and Lydia Anne could not marry until 1876 - maybe he was married to someone else?

And I just found birth for a William Denis Driscoll - Parish of St. Dunstan, Fredericton,- On the 25th of May 1884 baptism William Denis Driscoll, aged one month, born of the lawful marriage of Denis Driscoll and Lydia Ann Dunlap.

So according to this they were married and Wm. was born 1884 - if it is the same Wm. as married to Marguerite Page.

St. Dunstan is the same Parish where James Driscoll married Lydia Ann
