is a birth record identifying the parents as James Peter Astle and Eliza Amanda Underhill of Blackville.
In 1901 James was b. 5MAY1863 and his parents are named. I am not sure, in his case, what you mean by connecting him to other Astle's. A full, genealogical study of the family would be too large to include here. I am familiar with the name but have not studied the family. There are two families at:

and I would guess that Joseph and Mary were Peter's parents. That Joseph was born in 'Canada' suggests Quebec, possibly the Gaspe. See also:

The Underhill's likely have a similar origin and I would suspect a descent from Capt. John Underhill of early, colonial fame. In 1901 Eliza was b. 20JUN1871. I think that she was lizzie Underhill b. ca. 1872, in Blackville Parish in 1891 at:

Her parents were James (ca. 1838) and Susan (ca. 1841) Underhill. James Underhill (ca. 1832) was the s/o a widow, Catherine (ca. 1803) in Blackville Parish in 1851. Another James Underhill (ca. 1833) was the s/o Nathaniel (ca. 1801) and Mary (ca. 1805) Underhill in Blackville Parish in 1851. The 2nd James was James W. Underhill b. ca. MAY1833, d. 8AUG1922 and was the son of British N. and Mary (Kennedy) Underhill. His son was Alex Underhill. Alexander James Underhill was the s/o James H. and Cynthia (Caldwell; Colwell when married in 1855, also Caldwell, d/o Isaac Caldwell) Underhill. The 1st James was b. ca. 1830 and d. 30MAR1908. See:

Since the 2nd James and his (2nd?) wife 'Lenda' lived next to his father, Nathaniel, in Blackville Parish in 1891 with a son, Alexander, then Eliza's father is likely the 1st James, s/o a widow, Catharine, in 1851. He appears to have been a cousin to the other James and is James Bishop Underhill at:

His wife was Susan Sullivan and a daughter was Elizabeth Lydia Underhill b. 20JUN1871 so the question of her middle name appears to be a matter of debate. It is indicated that she married James Peter Astle and moved to Skagit (Co.?), Washington State.
The Underhill's are traced to John Underhill b. 1718 from Westchester Co., NY. This, and that his wife was from Flushing, tend to support my conjecture that they were descended from Capt. John Underhill. See:

Elsewhere, John Underhill b. 1718 is the son of Nathaniel and Mary (Hunt) Underhill with Nathaniel the s/o Nathaniel and Mary (Ferris) Underhill and Nathaniel, Sr. the s/o Capt. John Underhill.
