FRANK WILFRED O'BRIEN b. Westchester, Cumberland Co., NS 6 or 7OCT1897, m. Moncton, Westmorland Co., NB 10DEC1932 DELIA BEAMAN POWER (b. Stewiacke, Colchester Co., NS 22MAR1904), d/o John Albert and Mary Ann (Beaman) Power.
Frank was the son of Albert L. and Carrie E. (Caldwell, Coldwell) O'Brien. He is the grandson of Lawson D. and Mary J. Caldwell as his birth was recorded in their family Bible. In 1898 his father went to the Yukon Gold Rush with Carrie and her two children remaining behind with her parents.
When he married, Frank was a (railroad?) telegrapher living in Lakeville, Westmorland Co., NB. When he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in WWI, Frank was a telegraph operator. He gave his next-of-kin as his grandfather, Lawson D. Caldwell. He had a medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair and was 5 feet and 6½ inches.
Frank retired from working for the C. N. R. in 1962 having worked for them for 45 years.
Both of his parents were b. Greenville, NS. Carrie was b. 13MAR1876 and Albert L (ca. 1874) was the s/o Thomas and Mary O'Brien. Frank's sister was Alberta O'Brien b. 22JUN1876. His father may have been the Albert O'Brien b. ca. 1871 living in the Indian River District of the Yukon Territory in 1901, although this Albert was enumerated as single. He was listed, also, as b. in New Brunswick (or Nova Scotia?). Otherwise I cannot find anyone else. He was likely Leoniel Albert O' Brien b. Greenville, Cumberland Co., NS 5MAR1874, s/o Thomas and Mary Jane (McKin) O'Brien. He is also given as Leonil Albert O'Brien. he and Carrie married in Greenville 19MAR1896.
Thomas.
