On the other hand, that site on Acadian Genealogy I referred to has a section on 'family crests'. There is no such thing as a family crest. It is supposed to be 'coat-of-arms' of which a 'crest' is only a part. And there are no 'family' coats-of-arms. Armorial bearings can only belong to one person at a time. Any site which offers 'family crests' I must assume is a scam, so be careful.

There a few Acadian coats-of-arms. An example is the arms of the Association des LeBlanc.

Note the the website I mentioned shows something completely different. The Association's arms are legitimate, granted by the Crown in 1995 through the Heraldic Authority of Canada, and belong to one person, the Association as a corporate person. Romeo LeBlanc, as Governor General of Canada, had his own arms:

Anyway, be warned. Before displaying armorial bearings to which you have no right and which are likely forgeries anyway, learn. Don't embarrass yourself. If you see someone selling 'family' crests (meaningless) or 'family' coats-of arms, assume that their only goal is to separate you from your money. See:
Since the Chief Herald of Canada is Acadian, one might think that Acadian Heraldry receives some prominence. There is also the L'ASSOCIATION DES SAVOIE INC.:
