Bastarache & Dallaire Families of Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada
Posted by: James Boucher (ID *****1568) Date: April 24, 2012 at 15:59:29
  of 4952

Seeking information about my paternal grandmother’s ancestors. The following information is what I have gleaned so far:

Thaddée Bastarache (no dates) married Genevieve Thibodeau (no dates)

Pierre (Peter) Dallaire (no dates) married Marie Petipas (no dates)

Nicholas Bastarache (1824- ? ), son of Thaddée & Genevieve, married Marie Dallaire (no dates), daughter of Pierre & Marie.

Antoine Boucher (1838-1912) married Marie Richard (1843-1936)

Celeste Bastarache (1867-1946), daughter of Nicholas & Marie, married Jean (John) Boucher (1865-1930), son of Antoine & Marie.

The Bastarache family is noted as pioneers in Kent County, so it is reasonable to assume that my grandmother’s 18th & 19th century ancestors were born there.

The Boucher family is directly descended from pioneer Marin Boucher through his son Jean-Galleran. His descendent, Joseph Boucher (1727-1799), established the family in Kent County. My grandfather, John Boucher, was most likely born in or near Richibuctu.
