The Colpitts family is huge! There are probably many Sherman Colpitts but this is what I have in my file: Sherman Colpitts
-son of Titas(b.1829)Colpitts and Elizabeth Johnson; grandson of Robert Colpitts (b.1801)and Mary Beck;
great grandson of Thomas Colpitts (b.1773)& Eunice Reynolds;
great great of Robert Colpitts (b1745)and Margaret Wade.

--Titas Colpitts (b 1829) had a son named Sherman.

My grandmother had a note that indicated that Mary Beck's family tree had a connection to the Sherman family in NB, but I have not followed that tree.
