John Douglas & Ann Craik & their children: John,William, Nicholas [dau], Margaet, Robert, Andrew with to Canada. They left Liverpool aboard the Brig William and Robert and landed at Saint John May 28 from Liverpool.

Seventeen years later things are quite diffeent. .
John Douglas, b 1794 New Abbey Kirkcudbright Scotland is a farmer probably in Loch Lomand

3 children are born: Jannet Alexander Douglas 1837, Thomas Douglas 1840 & Matilda Douglas in 1841.

Nicholas, oldest dau b 1825, arrives in San Francisco on April 15, 1851.

Margaret=John Martin Rooney in February 17 1851.
They live with Margaret's family in Loch Lomand;
John Rooney is also a farmer.

Nicholas Douglas=David Wight of Edinburgh Scotland in 1853 & remainsin the San Francisco Bay Area until she dies in her early ninties in San Jose Californ.

Robert age 19 is still with his family.

Ann Craik died in 1847 at Loch Lomand.

Family members missing in the 1851 Provincial Census: are John b August, 1822, William b 1823, dau Nicholas in b 1825, Andrew b 1833; Jannet Alexander, first of John and Ann's native born children.

Thomas, Matilda, Margaret Douglas and John Martin Rooney and Robert fall out of sight.

I think I found Robert, still in Loch Lomand as a farmer.
Is this "Robert" "mine" or someone elses

Thanks to an answer to an inquiry, Janet married William Sinclair. I have info on her, her children and some of her grandchildren. My goal is to discover what happened to Ann and John's children.
