Seeking information regarding early Smiths in New Brunswick. Info I have: John Smith (b. abt. 1835) and his wife Margaret (maiden name unknown, b. abt. 1845) were born in New Brunswick They immigrated to USA abt. pre-1872 (first child born in 1872 in Calif.) The 1880 Humboldt County, Calif. census record states that John and his wife were both born in New Brunswick, AND their fathers were born in Scotland and their mothers were born in Ireland. Their children were named Herbert, Flora, Maggie, Bertha and John. Hope to hear from someone soon! Can't wait.
