More information on the Sisson family may be a bit difficult as I understand it was a fairly large family and a full study would be quite lengthy.
Aaron Whitfield Sisson and Sarah Emma Reid live in Andover, Victoria Co., NB when their daughter, Edna Alberta Sisson, was b. 5JUL1880. Andover has since amalgamated with Perth (across the River Saint John) to become Perth-Andover. Another daughter was Cecile Emmeline Sisson, b. 4JUL1896. A daughter, Carey Sisson, d. 14AUG1891 age 1 years and 11 months. A twin son, Frederick Sisson d. Adover 16JUN1891 age 3 years and 11 months.
The IGI gives Aaron Whitfield Sisson as b. Andover 31MAR1849, d. 1927, and as the s/o Elijah Herrick and Sarah Jane (Murphy) Sisson.
Elijah Herrick Sisson b. 27AUG1806, d. 14NOV1883, m. 9APR1834 Sarah Jane Murphy (b. 4MAY1816, d. 25JAN1901), d/o of James Murphy. He is given as a s/o James (ca. 1783-11FEB1849 age 66 years) and Rebecca (Welling) Sisson. Rebecca Welling (15JAN1785-22APR1874) was a d/o William and Jemima (Underhill) Welling. I would think William Welling a descendant of Thomas Welling in Jamaica, Long Island, NY in 1673, and Jemima Underhill a descendant of Capt. John Underhill of the same vicinity in the mid-1600's.
Aaron Sisson, age 3, was in Andover Parish, Victoria Co., NB in the 1851 census with his parents, Elijah (43) and Sarah (35.) Siblings were James W. (13), Sarah Emeline (11), H. Allan (7), Agnes (5) and Caroline (3 months.) In the next household were James (66) and Martha (60) Murphy; likely Sarah's parents. For more on the Sisson's, see:

One descendant (son?) appears to be Jonathan Sissson (b. ca. 1790, d. 22DEC1848, buried with his wife, Huldah (d. 3APR1854) in Burtt's Corner Cemetery in York Co., NB. James Sisson seems first to have settled in Douglas Parish, York Co., NB, where many of the family are found. Possibly he was the James Sisson, Sr. whose estate was probated in York Co. in 1832. James and his son (brother?), Jonathan Sisson, petition for land in York Co. as early as 1787. Jonathan was in the Guides and Pioneers. Jonathan was granted about 636 acres in St. Mary's Parish 13JUN1803, as were Samuel and William Boone. Since the Boone's (also from Rhode Island), like the Sisson's lived in Douglas Parish, I would question whether they kept the land. James Sisson, Jr. also was granted 235 acres 26MAR1808 in St. Mary's Parish, but as another grantee was Cornelious Brewer (also living in Douglas Parish) I would question whether they kept the land. It is possible that, at the time, Douglas Parish was part of St. Mary's Parish.
James Sisson, Sr's will was made 15AUG1825, probated 14DEC1832. He lived in Douglas Parish. His wife was Elizabeth. He mentions his son, Jonathan and un-named daughters. Likely James, Jr. was a son as well.
I don't believe I can add much more at this time, and it is likely there are persons more familiar with the family. Generally, the Sisson's are a Loyalist family from Rhode Island. In Andover Parish in 1901, Aaron (b. 31MAR1848) and his wife, Emma (b. 11APR1859) had children: Edna (5JUL1880), Alma (18JUN1882), Frank (4JUL1887), Lena (29SEP1892) and Cecil (4JUL1895.) The 1901 census should not be trusted for accurate birth-date; although these seem correct. Very nearby were likely Aaron's brothers (E. W. Sisson (24NOV1859) and Elijah H. Sisson (10JAN1856)) with a somewhat extended family.
