NB Family Research ia a Free NB genealgy Group. We have been around for about six years, previously at MSN, until they closed their groups in 2009. We are NOT a chat group we are an egroup(similiar to a mailing list but with a web presence), all discussions within the group pertain to genealogy. We monitor the group, NO SPAM and NO INAPPROPRIATE Posts. We also have a website besides the group website, and are compiling a list of NB Surnames, that members are researching, both on the group and at the website. Our webite can be viewed by everyone, but there is no contact information there, you must join the group to contact individuals researching the surnames posted at the NBFR website. You must be a member to have your Surnames listed. The Discussion group is located at Yahoo Groups, all is needed is a yahoo email to join. You must join to view the group.
The main focus of this group is for beginning NB genealogists, and seasoned genealogists as well, to help each other in researching NB families. It is a place to ask questions and recieve answers as well as offer your experience with researching in NB. It is not solely a message board but a community of genealogists willing to help each other with family research. It was meant as a guide to all the best FREE genealogy material found on the net, a resource guide to NB Genealogy, a community where fellow genealogists could help each other with family research, a databank of Surnames being researched in NB, and a connection to NB researchers.
Hope to see you there!
