Dear Heidi,
Thank you so very much for sending the info on Isaac Benson.
I believe that this Isaac was an uncle to my Isaac. My Isaac Benson was born in 1794 to 96 in (I believe) Gondola Pt., Kings County, NB, Canada. My Isaac was the son of Seth Benson who was a Loyalist and fought in the Revolutionary War. He lived in New York state then but moved to Canada around 1788 or so. My Isaac died 30 Mar. 1864 and was buried in Portland, ME. Cemetary records show that he was in the War of 1812 but I still have not been able to verify this. I think that he too would have been a Loyalist like his father as he was living in NB then. He later lived in Maine and Mass.
I thank you so much for your info, however, as I had nothing about his uncle, Isaac, until I read your letter.
You may e-mail me if you wish. My e-mail address is:
