I suppose all families have to have a starting point, and if it is when they came to New Brunswick, that's as good as any. It would be nice to trace a family back to the dark ages, or to someone famous; but I have always been suspicious of such genealogies.
Besides, I would think that, by the next generation, the Richardson's (like the Roach's, Wade's and others) were pretty much Acadian; and that is a pretty significant heritage in itself.
