William Richardson is usually said to have been from Liverpool, England. This would be likely as Liverpool was a common destination for ships transporting NB lumber. Quite possibly he came as a seaman on such a ship. Unfortunately, Liverpool may be simply his port of departure than place of origin.
I would think it unlikely that one might find his parents unless:

1. a family Bible exists with that information.
2. William was baptized as a Catholic in Tracadie; in which case the baptismal registry might name his parents
3. Letters or tradition name his parents (and no such tradition seems to exist)
4. Probate records in England name William of Tracadie

I cannot think of any 'official' records that might name his parents in NB.

Thomas
