Lucie You are right. I guess my phrasing was not clear I meant to say that looking for inhabitants in 1760-62 period in the Region of St-John, N.B. was a narrow search and I tried to let her know to look on the many routes that Acadians took after the start of the deportation. My ancestors took on of these routes and end up in Gloucester. I guess I always presume that people are always working on names with a good knowledge of history and curiosity and look more closely at websites like yours when I give them the opportunity. By the way, a big hourra to your website. I read a book last summer on Acadians. Did you heard about it? Les Acadiens, citoyens de l'Atlantique from Jean-Marie Fonteneau.Editions Ouest-France Prix Samuel de Champlain de l'Institut France-Amerique in 1997 Very well done, and specially a lot of details about the families that ended up in Belle-Ile-en-Mer, and their repatriation to this side of the Atlantic.
