Hi Ginette,

Thank you for posting the link to the Acadian 1755 from my website.

Actually the 1755 census was taken prior to the Deportation. There was no census taken of the Acadian until their exile had ended when France called for the enumeration of all Acadians wherever they might be in the world. Their exile ended when the Treaty of Paris was signed between France & England in 1763. It is following the treaty that Acadians were free to resettle wherever they would like to go.
