I not sure that the family I am looking for are Arcadian. Michel Saindon came from Bretagne, France around 1730, he married Yves Godin. They were one of the families who followed Michel Bergeron to Cacouna,Quebec around 1763.
Their daughter Francoise married Benoit Guichard-Bourguignon. Its Benoit that I'm trying to track down. He would have been born around 1735 according to his death record 8 May 1805. Was he listed in the 1760-1762 list of inhabitants?? Was he Arcadian??
I haven't been able to find any records for any families named Guichard-Bourguignon in Quebec.
I e-mailed the Province Archives of New Brunswick about the census taken in 1760-1762 of the inhabitants of New Brunswick, they replied that it can be found at Harriet Irving Library, University of New Brunswick – Fredericton Campus, Fredericton NB. I am waiting for the library's reply.
Thank you for your help
Patty
